ALEXIS STAEB

Name: Alexis Marie Lenz Staeb
Hometown: St. Anthony, Idaho

Concordia Extracurriculars: I played on the CUAA softball team my freshman year 
and half of my sophomore year. My primary position was right field. Currently I am
not involved in college athletics, instead I am focusing on y academics my last two years 
of college. 

High School Extracurriculars: I played softball as primarily an outfielder, but also at first and second base. Throughout my four years of high school I was also involved in student council, debate/speech, musicals, symphonic band, jazz band, choir, national honor society, yearbook, amongst other various activities.

Personal: I was born April 4, 1990. I am the daughter of Rod and Sharon Staeb. I have two older sisters, Danielle and Michelle. I am in the Family Life Program, with a concentration in Child Life Specialist. I am also double majoring in Psychology. 

 

ASHLEY HART

Concordia: All-Freshman Team, All-Conference Honorable Mention Sophomore Year
 
High School:
In freshman year Ashley played in 39 of 40 matches for the Lady Cards in 2008. 
She recorded 285 kills(2nd on the team), 6 assists, 6 aces, 25 digs, 20 solo blocks 
(2nd on the team) and 105 block assists which was good for 2nd on the team that year
and 3rd all-time in a season.  Ashley was named to the WHAC All-Freshman Team and received the New Comer of the Year award for the Lady Cards.

In sophomore year she played in all 38 matches for the Cards in 2009.  She recorded 376 kills, 25 aces, 6 assists, 69 digs,125 block assists, and 163 total blocks which is the single season record for Concordia.  Ashley also set the single game block record on Aug. 29th, 2009 with 12 total blocks.  Ashley was named All-Conference Honorable Mention in the WHAC. 

Her junior season so far she has set the blocking record for Concordia and is number one for block per game in the WHAC conference. 

Personal: Full name is Ashley Hayes Hart, she was born on April 30, 1990 and is the daughter of Judd and Alicia Hart. She has one brother, Tyler, and one sister, Meghan. She is majoring in Family Life with a concentration in Child Life Specialty. She is the SLR of Esther dorm, a member of New Crew, and is a committee member for AIA.
 
Ashley's grandfather, Leon Hart, won the Heisman Trophy when he played football at Notre Dame.  Ashley's father Judd Hart was named to the McDonald's All-American team when he played basketball for Brother Rice High School.



AUSTIN COOK

Concordia:  Varsity Basketball Player his freshman and sophomore seasons.

High School:  First Team All-League his senior season of Basketball.

Personal:  Born on April 17, 2010.  Austin is an Accounting Major at Concordia.  Austin is a member of AIA at Concordia, where he works to share his faith with fellow athletes of all kinds.  



DANIELLE GUSS

Anticipated Major:
Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I love working
with children and can't wait to pursue my career in education.

Sophomore Year Highlights:
Danielle played in all 38 matches for the Cards in 2009.  She recorded 234 kills, 7 aces, 11 assists, 267 digs, and 67 total blocks.  Danielle was named the WHAC Champion of Character for Concordia and also was a member of Athletes in Action.  Danielle also excelled in the classroom making the Dean's List.
 
Freshman Year Highlights:
Danielle played in 39 of 40 matches for the Lady Cards in 2008.  She recorded 227 kills, 12 assists, 14 aces, 406 digs (2nd on the team), 8 solo blocks (3rd on the team), and 47 block assists.  Danielle also excelled in the classroom making the Dean's List.
 
High School Highlights:
Danielle played varsity volleyball 3 years for Bedford.  She was a scholar athlete recipient all 4 years she was at Bedford and was named to the All-Region Team her senior year.

Personal:
Danielle is the daughter of Dennis and Debbie Guss and has one brother Dennis Guss. 

Danielle is a Residential Assistant of Esther a freshman girls dorm on Concordia's campus. She is a member of new crew and a member of the committee AIA. Danielle is a very outgoing and kind person who loves serving and helping others. Danielle would one day like to go on a mission trip to Haiti to serve and spread the word and love of Jesus Christ our Savior.  


ROCKO HOLMES

Hometown: Cadillac, Mich.

Concordia: Played on the junior varsity basketball team freshman season, Played on the 
varsity Basketball team sophomore and junior year and made Third team All-Conference
and 2nd Team All-Conference.
 
High School: Was named All-Conference Second Team senior season at Cadillac HS;
Named All-Area by the Cadinall News senior season
 
Personal: Full name is Rocko Isiaha Holmes ... Born on May 8, 1990 ... Son of Arnold and 
Bonnie Holmes ... Has one brother, Arnold Jr. ... majoring in Business with an
 Accounting concentration

Spiritual: Rocko has been attending Concordia for almost three years and has grown in his faith tremendously through the help of  his friends and Jesus Christ himself. He has excelled at basketball through the will of God and glorifying him in the game he loves.

AIA: Rocko is the Communications director for Athletes In Action committee and has reached out to the Concordia campus and has used his business skills and implemented them to help market AIA and the committee itself. His goal is too help AIA grow, and also build God's Kingdom.
